I shall preach today...

I wonder why majority of the Singaporeans rather leave their own country for another?

This question was inspired while I was walking down the Clementi Street towards the MRT station. There were several cool police patrolling the area. They were not like the policeman whom you see in the police post but they seemed to be of a higher skilled police force.

Since Singapore is such a safe place, why the citizens are not satisfied with what they have. Yes, we may lack so far behind in terms of the arts and quality goods etc. But we are still and strong and peaceful nation who doesn't look for trouble or try to invade other countries.

We may be constricted in the arena of the arts like dance, singing and theater performances. People still have this notion that having one of these ambitions will lead you nowhere and that studying is the best way to earn money. Like what monster said, "People work so hard from young just for the sake of money" This is indeed true if not all of us shall be those peaceful monks off the hill in a temple chanting scriptures.

Life is really tiring at times. You have to meet endless goals. They may be huge and minute. Still you have to overcome. So don't get depressed over troubles unworthy of our attention. Esp to Yong Yue: Your blog is really filled with numerous pessimistic comments nowadays.
