title: It Broke!
date: Wednesday, December 23, 2009
time:7:22 PM
Ha...Another post on the same day.

Can you believe it that Christmas Eve is tomorrow? NO...
Though this year's Christmas should be the most relaxed, in fact I don't even feel it coming. Everyday feels the same to me...

Yesterday was pretty much a xen day. I did my volunteer by giving out flyers near my grandmother's house. Thus, leaving me with more time to wonder around xen after that. During isolation, my 4-year-old heels finally gave way when the buckle broke. Thus now I have to just have to use the purple fluffy ones were sitting in my cupboard. Those are pretty but high (3-inches). Sadly with that on, I think I'll tower over most of the guys there. Or should I say Singaporean guys should buck up (in terms of the height)...

For the first time I danced with Donovan (if that's how I spell it) during tango. Surprisingly he's good. He's tension is right not as strong as LiBin's. So I considered that he must have danced in xen for a period of time. And that reminds me of how much I missed out in partner dancing and that people are improving and surpassing me... :(

QY's shine class was rather lax. I guess she focused half of the lesson on Afro which was much easier to grasp since it doesn't involve the technique of tightening and releasing your muscles when the usual lessons are like that.

Brenda's precious laptop fell a distance of 1.6 metres yesterday and she was kind of emo after that. Quite scary especially when it's an expensive thing and when she doesn't have any back-up for all her important documents in it.

Dawn's back tomorrow evening. Wonder if she got me gifts *hints* since its the festive period.

And yes...I finally found a job at my mum's office. Some programme processing job that is hectic during the month ends. But I think it is worth it since it is related to business and something which I will want to study and made my career in future.

Wee...

PS: I want to go union...Dawn pls talk to your mum.

title: JJ Prom
date:
time:6:55 PM
This is such a belated post about prom. But I shall still blog it down.

JC's prom I must say was much more prepared than in secondary school. I dyed my hair to brown with wonderful highlights and I did my make-up by professionals. Well, I ended up looking like a Korean according to sh and reaffirmed by Dawn. I wonder why...

Anyway, I was like of the last in table to arrive but didn't miss out on anything spectacular. JJ's prom is glitzy compared to other school's. Both guys and girls were very dressed up than I felt slightly under dressed in some sense (totally different from sec sch).

Of course no one can miss the pageant. Our school's pageant finalist spent almost 2weeks from what I heard to prepare for the show. The was a Newurbanmale and formal wear catwalk. The finalist made their debut in outfits by Newurbanmale. It was quite obvious who was popular and who wasn't. After that, there was a Q&A session and there were some interesting questions:

1) What is the greatest problem faced by youths today (soo GPish)
ans: Casual sex (and after all the explanations, the emcee said, "This advertisement is brought to you by Durex.")

2)This was Cherri's question: Do you want people to consider you as sexy or clever?
ans: both but prefer clever. (Towards the end of prom when they were going to reveal the prom winners, the emcee asked her how she was feeling and she gave some one word reply and the emcee went, "Her answer is so like Ris Low...") oh....such an insult to her. ha

The end of prom was naturally taking photographs. In fact, before the expensive dinner ended most of them where out of their seats and not eating already. I still can't believe how Melissa and Agnes only ate the appetizer and dessert.

When prom was officially over, there were plans for after prom events. Judy disappeared almost immediately. hizz... in the end, I went with Mel, Agnes and Angela, intending to go to Supper Club.

After a stopover at Agnes's house for her to put her stuff down, we cabbed to Clarke Quay. Apparently, we were at the wrong place and was supposed to be at City Hall, opposite Raffles Hotel. Angela and I were kind of tired and so she left us at Clarke Quay. I hitched a ride with the other two since I was staying over night at Swisshotel. On the road those two kept pestering me to go too. But really, I was damn emoistic already and how was I to get high inside there.

Thus, after prom activity was kind of boring. Actually I wanted to go around town and take jump shots or dance videos with the mesmerising skylines.

And there was a weird encounter with Hui Ting (from NJ) when I walked from Raffles hotel to the one where I was staying. She was shocked upon seeing me and asked if I was from Hwa Chong. (Wonder why was there a shock factor)

That's it, I conclude that prom isn't that interesting on second attempt.

title: Go Philippines
date: Saturday, December 19, 2009
time:6:42 PM
Today I was doing volunteer at xen and helped out in the dance infinity hip hop competition that was to be held tonight.

Slowly, by 2pm various teams were streaming in. And of course, I saw orange. I always see her anywhere when there is hh related things. The first time I saw her was at jacky's. Next was at xen. I think she was doing some part-time teaching for awhile. And I saw her on and off at dancepointe, Groove in the West and now at xen for the compeition. Hmmm...

Anyway, that's not the point of my post today. My point was that I REALLY WANT TO GO PHILIPPINES and learn KRUMP and their hiphop there. There were 2 teams that were from The Philippins. Their style is totally like Philippines All Stars where you can never get them in Spore. And because of them, I think the other teams pale in comparison though the other teams (like the girly, the one which orange is in, and the malays and their house and breaking moves). Suddenly when all these come side by side, I find that I dont want to learn hiphop in spore anymore. Instead I want to go to Philippines.

The dry run was an eye opener for me since I was sitting at the judges seats while doing my volunteer while I get the best view of the dancers. Cool!

Dawn...let's get more people to go and persuade our parents.

title: D&D performance
date: Wednesday, December 16, 2009
time:4:47 PM
Initially I thought that with the exams over, I'll have much more free time on my hands. Instead, I seem to be busier. Oh well.

Last week was really hectic. Wake up, wash up and leave the house. By the time I reached home, it was really late at night most of the time. The latest was on Wed when Dawn and I had some short half an hr salsa as union. Of course, thanks to SOMEONE (I doubt he'll ever see this) that both of us felt guilty that it was midnight and had to rush home. However, he just disappeared into midair and couldn't find him any more.

Naturally there was a similar incident by the same SOMEONE. It was during last year's Christmas. He claimed that xen is gonna be sooo crowded and we could salsa crazily. To our disappointment, xen was practically sparse and I think i ended up playing majong while waiting for Dawn to arrive....SOMEONE has to pay for it.

Anyway, last week I managed to squeeze 2 dance items into my brain for a dinner & dance performance. The theme was Vietnam War. Bianca commented that the people lack creativity. With so many ideas why would one use Vietnam war. And so our trio performance revolved around women who offer service with themselves. Quite demeaning.

After that, there was a last minute performance for another D&D and Goodwood park hotel. So using the same dance, we were dressed differently. Their companies theme was some disney thingy. Ha....Bianca was marilyn monroe. I was Britney Spears and not sure who was rebecca. We had to wear wigs and I looked damn awful. Oh well, it was some last minute thing and we had to rush so no unglam pics taken haha...

The next event that is worth noting is jacky's marriage cum mini hip-hop competition at the start of next yr. This is such a lame thing. At least it's interesting. There is a dancing segment as well as a battle one. Sounds pretty challenging.

Shall stop here. Next time shall be about prom. Just realised I've missed out on that.

Wee...

PS: SH have i satisfy your hunger aft reading my post?

Yay... the A levels is over. But there isnt this thrilling feeling that i have managed to survive somewhat the last horrendous exam that i will ever face in the course of education. And now, it feels slightly empty when i have nothing to do and just rotting at home.

At least i have wonderful programmes lined up for myself throughout this week except that today's was called off by the wonderful potato and so I'm here typing.

Anyway, the most looked forward event that is coming is prom...I really have no idea how am I supposed to get a nice dress that is affordable. I dont want it to be those wear-once-and-left-in-the-cupboard ones. Just like the ahem..raggedy dress that potato described as.

Tm is really funny. She suggested going to the Botanic gardens this coming Sat. But I dont see any appealing factor that makes me want to go there. The first thing that came to my mind was, "I'll get tan..." haha... I'm sure some of you will think. Hm...ms buffa likes to be pale. I suggested going to Chinatown but no one was interested. At least the stuff there isnt as expensive as in orchard.

Yesterday night, I had my first official dance lesson at jacky's. And we danced to Mad. It wasnt exactly that fun but at least I got to dance again and it's near my house (hahaha). Poor potato. However, having stopped dancing for almost more that a month, I suffered immediate effects of too much dancing. I kind of lost my balanced the whole night as I had to hold onto the wall, the door or whatsoever. My body was limped and I experience aching (when you usually get it only the nxt day). Hm...shows how much I deproved. Lucky I stretched when I was at home after that and fortunately I suffer no aches today. Ha.
