title: Talentime 2009 ![]() Here i am blogging again after such a long period of time. This post shall be dedicated to last Saturday's Talentime. To me: It was a wonderful experience being the choreographer and performer in Droplets. If given a chance to rechoreographed the dance, I wouldnt forcefully fit in some plot where one just beat about the bush about whether to accept a guy after the has betrayed you. I guess only some of the exceptionally LOUD audience seemed tickled by such scenes. Can't help it i guess. Different people have different taste. Apart from being such a wet-blanket, I have learnt alot from that night. It has indeed rekindled my passion and love for dance. And I am quite determined to be an outstanding dancer after the "A" levels are over. I have to brush up on my flexibility, isolations, emotions and lots more... Anyway, on Saturday, Anh did most of the hair-tying and I got to decide on what eye make-up we should put on. We had on glittery liner cum some Indian "putoo" from India near our eyes. Our costume was a controversial half-top and cargo pants paired with a baggy top that we painted ourselves and a cap. Initially we thought that the principal was going to 'mark us down', figuratively, for our "scanty" attire. Cause from the moment we did the march-in to the time we performed, I always see him talking to the person beside him and pointing his finger at us. SURPRISINGLY, when we realised we only got second place in the dance category, and went up to him to get our trophies, he told Melissa, "By the way, I VOTED for your gp." Wow, that was a great encouragement to us. Plus, Shuwen's chemisty teacher who was part of the organising committee for Talentime came up to me after the show ended and while I was in an emotional position, she said, "Your dance is great. You should know what kind of competition this is." Not forgetting my beloved other 8 members of Droplets who were they to support and console me. I really appreciate it. :) I havent got the chance to see our performance during that night since i havent gotten hold of any videos yet. But I think this was the best one so far where everyone was in top form. Thus, it ends our 2 years of together on the high note. Though this may be true, but I'm sure the droplets team is gonna stay strong for years to come. To Droplets: I have limited knowledge about dance. But I am satisfied that I am able to achieve such a feat. You gave me the chance to lead everyone, to do the choreography and to perform on stage. Thank you. May I see you soon in dance classes out of JJ... haha Wee... ![]() |
